Cavity Wall Insulation

What is cavity wall insulation?

The walls of nearly all modern buildings are made up of an outer and an inner wall (called leaves). The space between these leaves is the cavity. In cavity wall insulation, this space is filled with foam, polystyrene, mineral wool or other specialised materials. Gabriel Insulation Services Ltd are BBA approved installers of Supafil Mineral Blown Fibre Cavity Wall Insulation. Our installs comply with current building regulations and are installed in accordance with the appropriate British Board of Agrément Certificate.

What are the benefits?

The government advises cavity wall insulation as one of the most cost-effective energy saving measures for your property. Approximately 35% of the heat in a house is lost through the external walls of a building. Insulating your cavity walls will reduce this heat loss and subsequently result in lower energy bills. Installing cavity wall insulation can save up to £275 per year on your energy bills. Insulating your cavity walls will keep your house warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.

What is the installation process?

After a Gabriel Insulation Services Ltd Building Assessor has carried out a FREE of charge, no obligation survey of your building we can then arrange for the install to be carried out. This is usually completed within one day and primarily from the outside of your property, causing minimal disruption. Cavity Wall Insulation is pumped into your buildings cavity through a set of designed injection holes drilled through the mortar joints of your buildings brickwork. The cavity wall insulation system is designed so that on install the correct density of material is injected to reduce the heat loss through your walls whilst ensuring that any way that does enter the cavity can drain away.
